Matt graduated from Endeavour College of Natural Health in early 2012 achieving his Bachelor of Health Science in Musculoskeletal Therapy. Matt spent the next year and a half working with Myotherapists, Physiotherapists, Sports Doctors, Podiatrists and other Allied Health Practitioners, gaining valuable experiences and learning with each treatment. Whilst working part time at various clinics, the opportunity arose to get Move Free Myotherapy Boronia up and running, which had been a long term goal and was realised in February 2013.
In addition to running his boronia clinic, Matt continues to work at Lifecare Knox Physiotherapy, to stay connected to clients and colleagues prior to the opening of Move Free Myotherapy.
In his spare time Matt works as an accredited level 1 sports trainer during the Football season, attending trainings and game day, performing sports strapping, game day injury management, and providing long term injury management.
Matts 15+ minutes of fame came in August 2016, as an Australian representative, Matt and his team flew internationally to compete in the ancient Indian game, Kabaddi!
And when he's not working hard you'll find him spending time with his family and friends, enjoying a game of basketball, and watching his beloved team, the Richmond Tigers!
I see a wide variety of clients with different injuries and rehabilitation goals, and I am passionate about easing pain, promoting movement, and improving quality of life through tailored, client centred treatment.
My training and years of clinical experience have provided me with the skills and knowledge to treat each client with a holistic approach, to both assessment and treatment, and I pride myself on always utilising effective and up to date techniques. I believe that client education is essential in successful rehabilitation and each client should be educated and aware of their condition or injury, and what they can do to sustain their progress.
I am passionate about what I do because I love helping people and seeing my clients leave the clinic feeling better than before!
